BTCCSquare news:

Prediction exchange Kalshi has closed two high-profile insider trading cases, referring them to the CFTC. One involves a California gubernatorial candidate who bet $200 on his own election odds, while the other implicates a member of Mr. Beast's content team. Kalshi's surveillance systems flagged both cases after detecting suspicious market activity and social media posts.

The platform conducted over 200 insider trading investigations in the past year, with dozens escalating to active cases. While political candidates may use Kalshi's prediction markets for research, the exchange explicitly prohibits trading on non-public information about one's own campaigns.

These enforcement actions demonstrate Kalshi's tightening compliance measures as prediction markets gain mainstream traction. The cases highlight regulatory challenges at the intersection of social media influence and financial markets.
